ANATOLIAN – tribal rural area Turkish delight scissors. Such hand forged scissors are still being used in rural areas of central Anatolia. The reason why blades are long is that less power needed to cut the thick long sausage like village style delights which are stuffed with walnuts. If you wonder why the ends of the blades are not pointed, it is not needed for this purpose and safer them to be not sharp. It is cleaned and has a great patina.
