ANATOLIAN – ISTANBUL Antique hand hammered and tinned copper water ewer. A great sample of antique ottoman metal art. Finely hand engraved with floral motifs in chest of the body and spout. It has a 90 degrees turning spout so that the water cannot be wasted while pouring. Sharp turn stops extra water going out. Finely hand hammered handle ends up with a dragon shape head at bottom while it tries to bite the lid and upper part of the neck. They were used to wash hands and face. A rare collectible item.
