TURKEY – TAURUS Mountains forged iron coffee beans roaster. Yemen was the motherland where coffee grew and spread around in this part of world. Caravans carried it further north to Asia Minor and Ottomans took it to Europe in 16th century during their campaign of Suleyman the Magnificent. It has a folding handle so that it can be carried easily during migrations. It can be older than what we think. Survived in good condition. A great ethnographic item.
