TAJIKISTAN – LAKAI ethnic glass beaded velvet hat. Lakai is one of the Turkic groups living in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan. They are famous for their silk embroidery on velvet. Top of the hat has been decorated with metallic and silk embroidery as well as glass beads. Large 4 flies can be seen easily with their wings and eyes on the top of the hat. Probably a talisman against them. Lined with printed cotton and silk embroidery trim.
