ANATOLIAN – KAYSERI Ottoman mini hand forged metal tinned copper yogurt bucket. Hammer marks can be seen on body and solid thick copper handle. Yogurt is national food of central Asian Turks who did document it in early 11 century in first Turkic Lexicon – ” Divanu Lugati’t Turk” by Mahmot Kashgari in KASHKAR. This is a great sample for the smallest yougurt bucket. The shape of copper piece which holds the handle shows its age should be earlier than we guess here. It might even be made as a toy for a child. It is a very rare unique rural metal art.
